Paul gave us information and advice on all of the boilers available and then let us decide which one we wanted to go with. We took his advice and went with an ATAG and Nest thermostat and we are very happy with it. We would definitely use Paul again. He fitted us in quickly and was very friendly, and tidy. I recommend him to my Grandma and she has since had a new boiler fitted too, she was also very happy with the work carried out. Excellent service

What is powerflushing?

Power flushing is a method of cleaning your central heating system . This includes pipework and radiators . A power flush machine is connected to the central heating system , cleaning chemicals are added and water is pumped around the system using a high velocity pump. Each radiator is shut down leaving only one open , ensuring that flow is concentrated on that rad . The rads are agitated to dislodge any trapped sludge . Each rad is treated in this way . Then each rad is flushed through individually until satisfactory

How long does bath sealant take to dry?

As a rule of thumb we tell clients to wait 24 hours before using bathroom . This can vary dependant on make and conditions . If it’s hot or cold . Most manufacturers give a recommended time on the sealant . If not they all have numbers for contact so things can be checked .We have had many customers call us back as they have not waited the given time and it then needs to be re sealed

How does a hot water tank work?

A hot water tank works by heating a volume of stored cold water to a desired temp ( normally 60 degrees ) The method of heating the water and the type of tank vary You can have a tank that is heated via a coil connected to the boiler ( indirect) Or you can have a tank heated by electric via immersions ( direct ) You can also have tank fed ( vented) or mains water fed ( unvented) a survey of property and customer needs to be carried out to ascertain the most suitable
