Arrived on time,friendly manner, and explained what he was going to do. It was just before lockdown so he took appropriate precautions. Did job but explained he needed to drain down to completely solve problem but advised waiting till summer which I was happy with. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Why does the pressure keep dropping on my combi boiler?
Boilers drop pressure for a few reasons, the most obvious reason is that there is a leak on the heating system, a pipe, radiator, or valve. A system leak is easy to spot if pipework is accessible but not so easy if pipes are buried beneath solid floors. The boiler can also loose pressure if parts are faulty, Main parts to be suspicious of when it comes to pressure drop on a boiler are ; Pressure relief valve , Expansion vessel and more uncommonly main heat exchanger. The Expansion vessel and pressure relief valve are linked and are parts that are checked on a boiler service. The main heat exchanger leaking, although rare can be tested by an engineer by isolating the boiler. In my experience pressure drops on systems are equally split 50/50 between leaks on the radiator and pipework system and the expansion vessel within the boiler
What is the best Baxi boiler?
Baxi have made what is regarded amongst heating professionals as the best Combi boiler ever, The DuoTec/Platinum. Although this boiler is fantastic and still available, it is being fazed out, the reasons for this is to move with the times and upgrade efficiency's and make a boiler that responds better to smart thermostats and to reduce the size of the boiler. Baxi have now released the 600 and 800 series of boiler, these boilers are pretty much based on the above mentioned Duotec with small tweaks to improve it and reduce its size to fit in a kitchen cupboard. The Baxi 600 comes with a 7yr warranty and the 800 a 10yr. Baxi have released a boiler that uses parts that have been tried and tested for 20 years and have improved on the overall design, in my opinion the 600/800 combi boilers are the best on the market
What is the Baxi boiler e130 fault / error code?
E130 Fault code on a Baxi indicates a flue fault, all the homeowner can do is ensure the flue on the outside of the property is not blocked by debris or vegetation. If flue is clear outside a Gas Engineer will be required to fix, the flue inside the boiler has a sensor, this will be triggered if the flue gas passing it is too hot or if the sensor is faulty
